In honor of heart month, Village Arcade has joined forces with River Oaks Shopping Center to benefit the American Heart Association with the Heart Card. The Heart Card offers savings of up to 30% at 55 shops in Village Arcade March 1 - 11. Village Arcade will host a Spring Break fashion show and sidewalk sale on March 10 for last minute Heart Card shoppers. Coinciding with the Heart Card, a 30-day public art installation throughout Village Arcade and River Oaks Shopping Center will make a visual statement reminding Houstonians that 48 women die each hour from cardiovascular disease and stroke in the United States. Twenty-four red dress silhouettes will be placed throughout each shopping center for Houstonians and visitors to view beginning February 1. Proceeds from the Heart Card will benefit American Heart Association’s mission of raising awareness for the Number 1 Killer of Women – Heart Disease. The Heart Card is on sale and will expire on March 11.
